Name Change - Key Elements of Life

I am please to announce onegigglingwriter.blogspot is now keyelementsoflife.blogspot.com
.
Over the years I have had various nicknames, usually coinciding with my red hair.  I acquired One Giggling Writer, a good description of me, and it functions as a great penname.  The direction, in regards to this blog, has morphed into something I didn’t expect.  Initially the intent was to write about quirky things that happen in the day-to-day events.  Over time I found myself writing about life and the various things I observed, felt, channeled and always from the heart.

A while back I was reviewing some of the posts on OneGigglingWriter.blogspot.com and realized the name truly was not fitting for the content.   OneGiggling insinuates humor or comedy, and this blog is more about the elements of life.  For about two months I teeter-tottered on whether or not to revise the title to something more appropriate.  I promised myself I wasn’t going to just slap a new name to the blog and say, “Here ya go.  I hope this works better.”

Two mornings ago, as I lay in bed writing in my journal, Key Elements of Life flowed out of the pen and onto the blank page.  One of my bad habits is to put into motion an impulsive idea; so I waited 24 hours before I considering it and did it impulsively anyways.

There is a voice that doesn’t use words.
Listen.

~Rumi

Now the joy is locating passwords for web pages I have not been on in a while and updating as many of the links I’d established over the years.  The next task will be to contact my followers, and fellow bloggers and webmasters so they can update their web sites with the current link.  I feel this is a good change, maybe even a new beginning.  Life is an amazing adventure.

Blessings to all,
Cindy

Middle of the Night

Ever wake up in the middle of the night with a profound thought that possessed the ability to move mountains of beliefs or at least shift them enough that sleep becomes next to impossible? This recently happened to a very close friend of mind. At 2:12 am this individual sent me the following text:

"Random thought #437: so if we're in charge of our own destiny and set up choices to decide the future, than why can't we see the outcome of our decisions prior to making them? Or do we choose to be blind as to not spoil the surprise of our actions?" -JK (posted with permission)

Ah, the poetry to me senses! Throughout the day as this task was accomplished and another started, the words on my cell phone were revisited. Somewhere in the middle of the afternoon, my friend wrote, "So what's the answer?"

Is there simple approach to the question? One that defines its concept? Nope. The answer is as individual as you and I. We perceive things differently; and when boiled down to the nitty-gritties in the bottom of the pan, our life experiences are still rather simular. It all traces to one complex four-letter word. We share the desire for basic needs, like food, water, shelter, and companionship. Simplifying the list, the key element to it all is (and what it is that we are here to experience) - love.

"Life is what you make it ~ you're the creator. What emotions, thoughts and perceptions are you using to define this moment?" -Cindy Kochis

We have freewill to create the lives to live. We are the creators. Without conflict we cannot appreciate and truly value the meaning of life. Each person, each being, each aspect of this moment was brought into our experience to bring awareness to Self, Oneness and various elements of Love.

So, if you received a text message from a friend asking, "So if we're in charge of our own destiny and set up choices to decide the future, than why can't we see the outcome of our decisions prior to making them? Or do we choose to be blind as to not spoil the surprise of our actions?" how would you answer the questions? Please share with us your answer.

Interwoven Messages

Fear is a belief. Fear from a past life can affect this life. Fear is part of our shadow work; an aspect of Self to be nurtured and seen for what it really is ~ withdrawal from Love.

In a conversation with a friend, I asked him if it was okay to tell him something he may or may not believe. He was open to what I had to say and listened. I asked him if he knew a woman who has passed on with long, straight black hair and the most beautiful brown eyes (the kind you cannot look away from). She appeared to be Native American Indian or at least part Indian. She came to me (she's visited on several occasions) this time just before I was getting in the bath tub for a soak and requested I share with this man her gratitude and love. He made a difference in her life. [As a side note, there's nothing like standing naked getting ready to put a foot in the warm water when something like this happens. Of course, I giggle at the irony as I write this article - vulnerability.]

At the time of the conversation, he seemed okay with the message. Uncertain of who the woman was, he was still appreciative. As we parted ways, I wondered if it was bothering him on some level. The next day I emailed a quick note just make sure I hadn't upset him. I explained, "It's that vulnerability issue - putting myself out there to 'get noticed' (and burnt at the stake)." The moment those consonances and vowels spread across the page, a flash back of the morning I woke up in absolute terror filled the mind.

The dream what horrifying to say the least. However, it answered the question I'd been asking for years - "What's holding me back?" I woke up knowing who it was that turned me into the council for being a witch in the days when innocent women where being burned at the stake or hung. The person was a loved one, a person I (in that lifetime) trusted with all of my heart and loved to the core of my being. Forgiveness, compassion and love surround the dream and still continues to provide me insight.

Learning to trust in the trust of trusting is not bravery ~ it is embracing love of Self unconditionally. Love is the key element to everything... What belief is holding you back?

Giggling My Way Through Adversity

Ever have a couple of days where nothing seems to be going right? Roadblocks to dodge, small animals running out in front of you, white knuckle grip on the steering wheel... and the brake pedal is missing. That's how the past eight days have felt. I can proudly say that my patience has been tested and I giggled through the whole process. Well, most of it anyhow - I did cry on Thursday.

Life is meant to be fun and not taken so seriously. Personal growth is key. Are you willing to step back, look at the situation while in the moment and ask Self, "What aspect of ME am I being made aware of?"

Ah-ha. Is this a characterization, or better yet, a misunderstanding of the phrase be in the moment. Being in the moment doesn't mean to be nonchalant about the situation, it is about being aware. Does this make sense? The more I attempted to make "it" work my way, the faster the roadblocks were built. I spent all of my morning and afternoon, hence why I'm posting this today and not on Monday, trying to get the recorded show of Guided Journeys with Cindy to the producer. I spent countless hours trying to figure out how to get my voice data recorder to download the show onto the computer. Even though it was obvious Plan A was not working, I still pursued it. Then Plan B pooped up. "Yes!" I hollered and giggled with delight.

Plan B was wonderful, exciting and unexpected. Now I felt really good for having spent the $20-25 on a headset/microphone for a completely different project. A new buzz of energy rose and I spent the next hour and a half recording Guided Journeys with Cindy. A key element needs to be noted is the fact the show is 55 minutes long.

So at this point I'm all happy and giddy driving back into town for the high speed wireless internet at the library only to find out the file is too big to email. This beautiful, wonderful show is too flipping big. Ka-thud. My wild and woolly crazy buzzin' energy screeched to a halt. "What?" I exclaimed from inside my truck, "No!" I tried several ways. Nothing worked. Nervous energy started flowing out of control until I realized what I was allowing to happen and turned the focus on the fact that everything will be okay. I giggled and took the revised approach of maybe this is not how it was meant to be, but everything works out for the best.

Then Plan C hits me like a bolt of lightening. Vroom.... I drove back home like a mad woman. I recorded the beginning and ending of the show thinking the producer could cut out the meditation portion from last week's show and plunk in the middle right where it belongs. "Yes! This will work!" I spend another 30 minutes getting Plan C completed and, vroom, back into town for the high speed internet. The email was sent in a few seconds. A message was left on the producer's voice mail during the drive to work giving her a brief description of the events of the day and of the email sent to her.

Later in the evening, when it was too late to do anything regarding the show, I checked my email only to find out that there was no sound on the file. I laughed at the situation. After spending literally all day working on this project, worrying, hustling, getting frustrated only to find this out, I simply laughed. Sahvanna, the producer, reassured me all was well. In the email she wrote, "No problem Cindy, don't stress. :)" How awesome is that? My guess, she was giggling at the absurdity of the situation as I was. She made the show happen and all is well.

Everything works out. I trust that it will... I have faith.

Dirty Toes

Today's blog entry started off in the usual sense with a few words of wisdom formulating in my mind, however I cannot stop thinking of what a friend said on the phone yesterday. The conversation began like any other and quickly converted to one I wasn't expecting. Descending from happy thoughts into ongoing issues where fear is used as a motivator, not praise nor a sense of community.

She pointed out gently how we've spent a considerable amount of time opening and having fun learning how to use our upper chakras and adjusting to the new energies. "It's time to work on the lower ones - mainly the root chakra." The upper chakras represent communication and the ability to hear/see/speak with the divine. It's time to do something with the knowledge and move into the areas of resistance and continue the healing process.

The root chakra is the grounding chakra in respect to a person's connection with Mother Earth. It is also a power source. The key element is survival. There are many of us that are feeling the discord of this region: security, money, relationships, self-worth, trust, a sense of feeling grounded. What I found interesting on the internet was how many shared the same suggested therapy for balancing the first chakra - "Walk barefoot in nature," "Hug a tree," and "Dance." Basically any physical movement that makes you more aware of your body will strengthen this powerful chakra.

And, sad to say but worth mentioning, in my quest for information I came across a site that talked about the root chakra being sexual and if you craved sex or had no desire for it, then "stop reading here" because there's no help for you. Huh? Are they serious? There's always a solutions. Pay no attention to those who use fear to guide you. There is always hope.

So, can it be this simple? Dance barefoot in nature. Why not? Opening the heart charka is easily done with Love.

Power of Empowering

Feelin' a bit feisty, I let thoughts swirl around fears and employment as I washed the dishes this morning. In view is the floral garden I haven't tended to in two weeks. There's also a hiking trail two miles down the road I haven't stepped foot on in over three weeks. I've allowed working to consume my energy and time. As I stood at the kitchen sink looking at the wheelbarrow full of rotting vegetation in the middle of a pathway, a gentle voice quietly asked, “Where's your focus?”

I smiled. I knew. “Yep,” I said aloud, “I'm not setting my energy on the things that matter the most to me. Huh....” Excuses could have spewed from my mouth, if I allowed, but talk about counterproductive. We as a society worry too much about money, jobs, lack of 'something.' When, or why, did we move away from the rhythm of life – nature – being? What happened to the idea of living peacefully in the moment? Listen to friends, family and Self on a Sunday evening and most likely you'll hear the discord of “I hate Mondays, I don't want to go to work tomorrow, I can't wait for next weekend.” Anxiety builds and more fear is set forth along with annoyance, dissatisfaction and plenty of other unpleasant emotions. Why do we insist on suffering? Ha! Here's a thought, how about I go to work to recoup (rest) from life instead of resting because work is exhausting.

For as long as I can remember I have said, “Tell me I do good and I will do better. I want to hear the phrase again and again.” Honestly, I've only encountered a couple of managers/employers that functions in this manner. Instead most stood on their shaky pedestal tossing their self-fabricated power around like they were the keepers of the kingdom, holder of the keys, instilling fear in hopes to maintain the illusion of control. There's this false premise that in order to feel good about Self, a person needs to knock everyone else off the I-feel-confident-in-myself soapbox. Why? How does belittling a person make anyone believe they are more important and stand on a higher rung of the so-called ladder?

There's a joyful life just waiting to be embraced. Life is meant to feel good. It is our own personal interpretation of _______ (work, relationships, money, and etc.) that holds us in the position of powerlessness. Ouch. We mirror, attract, situations based on what we believe while following our intuition – perception. Motivate Self and Others with love, compassion, and empowering words. There is so much satisfaction in feeling the energy vibration rise when intent is focused on encouraging versus dismantling.

We create our own heaven and hell. The challenge to leaving behind fear is to go within and find the Hidden One – the Shadow – and learn from this aspect of Self. The Shadow has so much to teach. Do not resist this awareness. Seek the part of “I” pushed out of the way in hopes of never revealing. Ah, for only a fool would believe it possible. As a wise one shared with me using visuals tools I could then comprehend, he explained energy needs three three things in order for the current to flow – a positive, a negative and a ground. “It is YOU that has defined positive as good, negative as bad and grounding as the wire that keeps it functioning properly. There is no good. There is no bad. There is only awareness.”

Mantra of Possibilities

Spending time and energy working with my shadows, the parts of me that I've buried alive and attempted to keep hidden deep within the interior walls (the naysayer, victim, lack-luster, unworthy, unqualified, incapable and etc.), has provided me with insight and key elements of wisdom.

Becoming friends with my shadow is providing me freedom from the nagging and unjustified monkey mind. As quick as thoughts start down the spiral of despair and nastiness, changing them to beliefs with loving qualities has become easier. Each time another shadow makes an entrance I envision hugging myself and whispering in the ear of the shadow, "I forgive you. I love you." The six word phrase is repeated over and over until the emotions of anxiety, pain or drama settles and I feel more at peace. I know miracles are happening with each expression of love and forgiveness of Self with focus shifting to living peacefully.

Get to know and become friends with ALL of you - even the events you claim as a mistake. There are no mistakes, only awareness. Allow your emotions to guide your internal healing. Joyful and painful moments serve as a compass leading us to our true desires. Without conflict, we would not know peace. Go ahead, tell Self, "I won't be doing that again," when you remember a bad relationship, a less than enjoyable job, a regretted purchase five minutes after it was made. Realizing what you do not want to experience the phrase "How does it get better than this?" can easily serve as a new mantra. Opportunities will begin to open because while you were so busy believing how bad life sucked, it was impossible to see the possibilities. What are the infinite possibilities?

Shadow Work

A day late and much wiser for it. I’m dealing with my shadows. They are parts of me (memories) that I have blocked, are unaware of (from past lives) and have simply forgotten. The shadows are the unresolved issues within me - emotional triggers/reactions/behavioral patterns. And yes, you have them as well. That’s a good thing. It’s time to start acknowledging that side of Self.

Awareness is vital for it holds the keys to unlocking what is either out of reach or hidden from us. The more I’m exposed to the subject of shadows the more I’m realizing how unaware I was to them. I heard the descriptive title shadows for the first time last week and now it seems to be my new theme word. Let me clarify, I’ve heard the word used in the same context, but hadn’t felt its meaning and value as I do at this moment. It’s time to heal another aspect of me – the part that I dread and feared for all these years.

Emotions serve as a compass. When we are happy go lucky and joyful, we are in our vibrational flow and aligned with Self. When we begin to spiral downward with negative thoughts, we are no longer in the flow and life seems to suck big time. It hurts and the more we dwell on the pain and frustration, the more we fall downward like a slinky on a tall, steep staircase. Tumbling with an occasional thud, but the momentum seems to carry us down, down, down until we consciously say, “STOP!”

I’ve found the courage to see the shadow for what it is – a part of me. My shadows affect you and yours affects my life. Working individually on our shadows, yet united, we co-create the lives we truly attract. Let’s begin by appreciating the shadow’s willingness to come to the surface to be recognized. Get to know the shadow and make friends with it. Love this part of me. It serves as another gateway for love and light – the source of healing energy. The biggest realization that I’ve noticed is how I use distraction (television, radio, chores, busy work, and etc) to keep my mind unfocused on the issues at hand. I’m taking time each day, as often as I can, to allow silence to fill the environment. Without the distractions, I am not interfering with my own personal awareness and this provides me the opportunity to become familiar with the destructive patterns/behaviors so I can alter my beliefs.

I foresee this will be a topic I continue to discuss on this blog. The flowing is more or less the suggestions that I’ve noted for me and wish to share with you as it may help you with your own enlightenment:

By being thankful for what you have versus what you don’t have will help a person to get closer to aligning with Self.

Know you are loved.

You are never alone for your Higher Self is always with you and will never ever separate connection with you. We are surrounded by angelic guides gently offering guidance and with freewill we choose to either accept or deny the assistance. Spend time in nature. Talk to the trees, the rocks, the birds and the deer – pausing long enough to hear to their wisdom. Slow down and listen.

There is power in your thoughts and words.

Learn to silence the monkey-mind and turn off the distractions we use to drown out his chatting.

Focus on and see the goodness of Self – the Universe.

Value Self as a Being of Pure Love and Light.

Ask “What are the infinite possibilities?” from a point of positive belief (not lack).

Know that you are the creator of your own reality – Perception and Awareness are key.

Love and Forgive Self. Always be compassionate with Self.

A knowing comes from the Heart; a thought is the current belief in this moment.

“A belief is only a thought I continue to think. A belief is only my habit of thought; it’s only a practiced thought – a belief is only a thought that I think a lot.” –Abraham/Hicks (The Vortex - Where the Law of Attraction Assembles All Cooperative Relationships, written by Ester and Jerry Hicks)

Leading the Way

Why do we waste so much time desperately searching for a purpose to our life versus experiencing life. What if it were as simple as to explore joy, happiness, contentment? For most, in order to appreciate what they term a 'blessings' conflict is endured. Can you think of a better way to define desires?

You wanted a job; you got a job. You wish your boss was better at managing the staff; you got another job where the boss is a better manager. You wish you had job where the boss was a better manager and you wanted to be paid more money; you got a different job with a better boss and paid more money. You wanted a job, a boss that’s a great manager, paid more money and now you want more vacation time… Can you see how most of us define our desires? This works with every aspect of life – homes, friendships, lovers, relationships, jobs, cars, vacations, etc.

The key element is not to “want” from the lack of not having, but believing it is possible to obtain. It is possible. There are no limits, except those that you believe.

I heard myself repeat the phrase, “It’s not a race,” to a dear friend of mine who is just becoming aware of their gifts. Right now the person is reading, researching and consuming information faster than I could eat a plate of chocolate chip cookies. It’s as though they feel they have to catch up to the others at the party. Funny thing is that was me years ago. A good friend of mine sat down with me and made the point over and over this is not a race, there is no finish line, take your time in evolving and observe as you become aware of/remember what you already know.

The knowledge is there within each of us. Slow down (especially if you feel life is going too fast, chaotic, out of control) and value the time spent alone. Take time to listen to your inner wisdom. It’s there, I promise you. When you connect to the internal wise one you find no reason to seek your answers outside of Self. I suppose for some it can happen in a matter of a short period of time, and others it could take years. With a desire to open up to your own awareness, you can accomplish anything. Recently, while in meditation, I receive the message "Life is about joy, experiencing contentment, and when you (I) do, the feeling from within will be indescribable. Relax and bless all situations. They are your internal compass."

I'm Attracting That?

The repetitive sounds of the waves and the breeze fill my ears with the sweet harmony of bliss. Me and Lake Michigan and wet sand between my toes. Only a few people have claimed their piece of paradise as I find mine. The fold-up chair is placed in a perfect spot so the occasional wave can tickle my feet. Pad of paper and pen ready to capture whimsical thoughts and dreams as odd looking beach bugs scurried on the hot sand running to and fro and rarely in a straight line. These were the thoughts I had yesterday when I began to journal. Quickly they changed as awareness of the law of attraction was making its point.

Here's insight to yesterday's journal entry and a wonderful example of how our vibrations affect what we are manifesting. On the way out here, I was made aware... yes, I noticed it. If law of attraction is listening – paying attention – boy, am I in trouble. At the grocery store, the cashier asked where I was working and if I liked it. My response was less than enthused as I responded, “I'm grateful for the paycheck.” At the post office, the gal behind the counter weighing my box to be shipped mentions she hadn't seen me in a long time and asked where I was working and how I like it. This time I feel a touch of resentment build internally as I told her, “I'm going to the beach for the first time all summer.” The discussion went from me feeling good about my day off to not so good vibrations when I mentioned that I work most weekends and usually work six days a week with several short shifts so I barely hit 40 hours. Wow, at this point my day of relaxation is not feeling so relaxing.

My journal entry then continues: This is not what I want... so how do I manifest things I enjoy, feel valued and respected, receive a fair paycheck for my services, and without all the office drama-luster. My goal is for the highest good for all with harm to none ~ my focus is to assist others. I am a writer with many stories to tell... stories to warm the heart, inspire people to be authentic and encourage personal growth.

“Women are repeatedly accused of taking things personally. I cannot see any other honest way of taking them.” -Marya Mannes

As I sit at my computer this morning allowing my fingers to tap dance on the keyboard I truly see how awareness brings change in various forms. A common thing we as a society whine about is our jobs. I most certainly am not discrediting my employers as I am very grateful I am one of their employees. We have fun and plenty of 'good stuff' is accomplished. The ultimate point being made is to pay attention to how your energy feels when speaking on any subject.

Observing the rise and fall of our vibration can make a difference in our perception. The key element to manifesting is the focus of energy we feel in any given moment. Yesterday, I allowed my emotions to be altered by the lack I was feeling. Today, as I get ready for work, I am feeling gratitude. Joy that I have a job close to home, every time I pick up the phone I have the opportunity to make a new friend and assist them to the best of my abilities, and for the steady paycheck.

Going back to my afternoon at the beach, I made a list of questions to create an internal dialog for change, bring forth emotions and view my desires on paper. I closed the journal after I wrote '...and do what? Listen to the music of the waves and wind.'

Today as you go about your business, note the emotions you feel when speaking – and listening. Are you aware of your manifestations?

Exposing the Internal Chatter

Waking up from an odd dream this morning, I picked up my journal to help sort out the bits and pieces I remember - and the parts I’d rather forget. It was odd. Really strange. As the words were written, the internal dialog morphed into reasons why it's a good idea to journal. It didn’t take me long to realize the subject of today’s blog.

Sitting with a pad of paper and a pen, allow the internal conversation to flow - Self-Love 101. For some it can be considered Problem Solving 101. Who better to answer your questions and advise you on your quest? Who knows you better? Here’s a more important question, “Who has your best interest at heart?”

Journaling is a great way to get thoughts out of our heads and to better understand our emotions. Some pretty amazing things can be discovered this way. Unresolved resentments all the way to hidden joys are given the opportunity to flow from deep within the subconscious and into awareness. During the writing process is not the time to overanalyze. Let the words be as they appear. Once on paper you can decide to review the creation or get rid of it. Embrace or release - author’s choice.

"Remember, there is a creative energy that wants to express itself through you"; "Don't judge the work or yourself. You can sort it out later"; "Let God work through you." -Julia Cameron (The Artist Way, published 1992, 2002, page XV)

The process of the internal dialog can have significant healing properties. Explain and describe your emotions (good and bad, no holding back) the way you feel in that very moment. Once exposed, you can determine if you wish to continue this state of mind or if you want to make a change. Awareness provides us the key elements and opportunity to learn more about me, myself and I. We have multiple personalities that expect to be heard. We embody the Worker, the Slacker, the Lover, the Loner, the Adult, the Child, the Creator, the Destroyer, the Overwhelmed, the Calmness, the Aggressor, the Peace-Maker and there's more within. Each one has a voice and craves attention.

Writing out desires assists in clarifying the I want’s and can begin to pave a trail for the journey, or at least machete chop the jungle growth out of the way. Used as a tool, it can help plot out the baby steps to reach the intended goal. Some people use this technique as a way to work out a five year plan.

For me it was a tool to clear my head and, by chance, accomplish today’s post. After I finish this article, I believe I shall work on that Gratitude List I keep in my journal.

Keep writing, my friends.

Blossoming Opportunities

Opportunities are popping up like daisies with the winds of change rearranging a few things I wasn't anticipating. There are a handful of weeds going to seed in my garden of life and I think it's wonderful. They serve as reminders that the experiences are not meant to be flawless. They are lessons yet to enlighten and possibly challenge current beliefs. Perfection is only interpretation – an illusion. It is what it is and we are eternally evolving.

“This or something better is now manifesting for me in totally harmonious and satisfying ways for the highest good for all concerned.” -Shakti Gawain

A couple of years ago I wrote the quote "Get a compass, not a clock" to serve as a reminder to follow the heart at its pace and stop keeping track of exterior influences. So often we seek guidance from outside sources and shushing the all-knowing voice within. At times we are in such a hurry to get to the mind-made finish line we don't take the time to become aware of internal wisdom. We manifest every situation we deem good and bad into our existence. “Careful what you wish for” is a statement worth remembering.

As for me in this moment, I'm still getting used to the idea of what I will term as 'an upcoming life altering change' I've recently discovered. The puzzle pieces are still falling into place and some still hidden from view. The missing pieces are probably on the floor under the chair I'm sitting on; if you have spent time working on puzzles at your dining room table I'm sure you understand the metaphor.

There are many changes happening right now for a large number of people. Isn't wonderful? Sure, a little scary because the journey is a bit unpredictable. See, that's the joyful part. We are breaking new ground and pushing through the mind-made jungle to get to our desired destination. The key element is to be patient, easy on Self and rest when needed. There are no deadlines. Find ways to let go of the accumulated stuff (mental and physical) that no longer serves your highest good. Like a fluttering butterfly in the garden - travel light. New opportunities will feel magical when there isn't so much baggage to carry on the adventure. Enjoy the upcoming changes as awareness expands and opportunities blossom.

Are you in the midst of an unexpected change? Share your positive insight with me.

Converting into Words

Deep within each of us is a beautiful Self loving us more than words can describe. Steady waves of pure energy from God/Source/Universe/Oneness fill us with each passing moment. The advantage of being human is the internal vibration has the ability to fluctuate.

So how do you feel? Want to celebrate with dance and laughter? Want to cry? It's okay to cry, be angry, feel the unfairness and unjustifiably diminished. When the wave appears to be receding, take a moment to evaluate your alignment with Self. Bless the current circumstances for it shows the theme your Soul wishes to focus upon and grow. Your emotions are your guide. Give yourSelf permission to feel all the sensations without judgment, criticism or fear.

Maintaining a daily journal will assist in moving indescribable and unresolved emotions into language. It is liberating to convert feelings into words. Write from the current point of view to really get it out of your system. Scream out from the top of your lungs if you want, “This sucks!” Let yourSelf fall apart so you can move through the undesired moment. When the wave of emotions simmers to a ripple, ask, “How can I best serve my Self?” Seek ways in which to feel good and raise your vibration of love. Know you are loved. Unconditional pure love is always flowing to you from the Universe ~ accept and embrace it as yours.

We learn from each other, please share your techniques with others how you align with Self.

Valuing Self

I am not better than you; you are not better than I. We are as individual as we are meant to be and isn’t it wonderful.

Self-worth is a component often times altered by outside sources. For example, someone causes anguish about your hair color (weight, height, job status, intelligence, etc) and at first you ignore the claims thinking they’re just jealous. As the taunting continues you look in the mirror and begin to see what they are saying as truth when previously you saw only beauty. It’s hard to hear that there could be something wrong with us or not good enough or not perfect to their standards. The young innocent child in my head states with a stomp of her right foot and hands on her hips, “But why don’t they see me as I see myself?”

“The roles people play in our life can bring forth a variety of beliefs in Self.” – Cindy Kochis

For the sake of this moment you and I are sharing, imagine a life in which another person’s statements and actions towards you have no affect. Wait, if I believe my Inner Guidance and not the projection of what someone else want me to be… Huh. I truly believe people enter our lives to encourage us to acknowledge the truth we already possess within our Soul. In each of us there is love, beauty, peace, harmony and a Spirit eager to influence the world we walk upon.

Be kind to yourSelf. Treat yourSelf as you wish to be treated. We all crave to hear the words, “I love you,” “I think you’re beautiful.” “You are a wonderful friend and lover.” Begin to tell yourSelf the lines you deserve to hear by turning them into a personal mantra. I am in love with my Self. I see my beauty within and express it to others…” Affirmations can work miracles.

Please note – I do not know why it was so important to share this message today. The initial subject for this morning was literally pushed out of my mind so the words above could be composed. The intent of this channeled message is only to serve as a window for you to look through. If you need council, please seek a professional trained to assist you. Many blessings on your journey and know that you are not alone. You are loved by so many.

Hidden Pain

The phrase “let it go” has been on my mind lately. Not in the sense that I have to let go of something, but misconceptions of the three-word sentence. Let it go has evolved into a mantra we repeat in our determination to be happier people.

“Let go of the heartbreak and everything will be alright.”

“If only I could let go of what he did to me?”

“Why did this have to happen to me?”

All attempts to forget about the person’s actions and situations will not work. Why? Because a festering sliver always comes back to the surface. Think about all the stuff we mentally bury to avoid pain and frustration.

What I’ve learned over the years is the importance of blessing and acknowledging the emotional attachment to the person, place or thing and deciding what it is I truly desire for Self. Allowing myself to feel the joy, feel the pain, feel the emotion I am experiencing in that moment brings freedom. It also gives me the opportunity to view it from another perspective and determine my truth. It takes practice to let Self experience the true, unaltered emotions (moods). Forgiveness is a key element.

Our journey is not about exploring the why’s, it is about loving Self with compassion and without judgment. Does it really matter why you experienced the situation (health, love, change and etc)? Striving to be only joyful while ignoring feeling any pang of heartache will establish energy blocks just as fast as dwelling on sadness. The purpose in life is personal growth. Remember, challenges are our own way of moving us onto the next situation of exploration.

Our perception is the interpreter. Love Self and all involved. Forgive Self and all involved. Feel compassion towards Self and all involved. Live authentically…

Break It Down To Define

My clean house can be accredited to delay tactics. Laundry, vacuumed floors, clean toilets, dust bunnies removed from the ceiling fan, organized shed and the list keeps on going. Embarrassing as it may be, I used to claim to be the Delay Tactic Queen. It’s not really a title I want to hold anymore and have found one much more suited to me ~ Giggling Goddess. I enjoy giggling a lot and occasionally finding myself doing it at things no one else finds funny.

Now that I’ve taken you on a short trip off the subject of delay tactics I suppose I need to refocus. Maybe being out of focus is the root cause, not laziness. Could it be as simple as not having a clear vision on the goal? There is so much I want to do and experience.

Here’s a phrase that helps me get clear and define goals: “Who, What, When, Where & How?” Sounds pretty simple and uncomplicated till you start to understand each component's significance. For fun, decide which goal or project you’d like to tackle first. With pencil in hand, write at the top of a blank sheet of paper your goal. I’ll choose “workshops” since this is a service I’ve recently decided to start offering.

Top of page ~ Workshops
  • Who? I will facilitate the workshops
  • What kind? Guided Group Meditations
  • When? Need to set up a schedule
  • Where? At area stores that offer classes of this nature

“How” is the break it down into bite size pieces so you can map it out word. When looking at the initial response, can you further answer the how question?

In the above sample, the Who is pretty much set, right? Not really. Who will attend is a key element that really cannot be left out. This can be broken down more so it’s time to add another word to the formula - “Why.” Below you can see how I started to add more elements.

Workshops
  • Who? I will facilitate the workshops
  • Who will attend?
  • Why will they attend?
  • What kind of workshop? Group Guided Meditations
  • What is my intent?
  • What kind of interaction will there be?
  • What’s the time limit I set for individual sharing experience?
  • How will I prepare?
  • What do I bring with me?
  • When? Need to set up schedule
  • Who do I call?
  • Where? At area stores that offer classes of this nature
  • How much? $$

Keep asking the questions until it feels finished. Every time I do this I end up scratching off unwanted desires, drawing arrows to another part of the paper to complete a thought and thinking of one more item to add when I believed I was done. To help seal the goal's fate, I rewrite it on a clean sheet of paper. Hard to have a clear focus when there’s scribbled notes in your field of vision.

Have fun with this project. Be easy on yourself. There is no right or wrong way to do it. Heck you may come up with a very unique way that works miracles and you’ll be teaching us your technique.

It’ll Affect One’s Perspective

Gratitude can have a profound effect on your outlook today. How do you perceive this adventure we call life? I’m grateful I have a job. For some there is simply too much focus on workload stress, feeling unappreciated and undervalued, and the one co-worker that drives you nuts. Okay, let’s find something else. How about being grateful for the friends and family that are always there for you no matter the circumstances? Oh, did that bring up guilt instead or fear of showing weakness? Consider that a good thing. Now you know an area in your life you’d like to heal.

Feeling and expressing gratitude can bring you more into alignment with Self. It can be an instant mood lifter if you let it. Everyone interprets situations differently so there is no right or wrong way to explore this subject matter. Just try it. Even though the temptation to say, “I dare you,” is very strong I shall resist. Gratitude can help you to voice a positive perspective, show the value to your experience, and reaffirm the benefits of being you ~ the wonderful, beautiful, unique YOU.

For me, there is overpowering gratitude for my two sons. Watching them grow and mature into men has been my strength; the drive to keep me going and courage to seek a better life. My oldest son’s passionate curiosity to know how it works, dismantle and rebuild the object out of the sheer enjoyment. His younger brother possesses the skill to change a bad mood to light and lively with his wit and humor and all around goofiness. And, of course, my heart overflows every time they say, “Thanks Mom, I love you.”

What are you grateful for? Please share your thoughts; I would love to hear from you.

Yet to Uncover

“You are a very strong woman, extremely intelligent and gifted in so many ways You have yet to uncover.”
–Cindy Kochis

These words were expressed earlier this week to a very close friend of mine that’s hit a sand trap on her journey. The more I thought about the line I composed the more I realized it fits my situation – anyone’s at some point in time. We are yet to uncover wondrous things about ourselves that we never would have thought possible.

One of the key elements is to be easy, gentle, on our Self. Find ways to turn not-so-good thoughts to be compassionate and loving. By taking time each time to relax and giggle, and explore things that will help you feel good. There is so much we can do for ourSelf, the options are endless: take a walk, learn to paint, go to the museum, learn to play golf, pamper your Self with a massage…

One idea I like to utilize is a Wish-To-Do-List; otherwise termed as a Bucket List. Take a piece of paper and make a list of things you’d like to do, learn, and so forth. Remember, the sky is the limit. List everything no matter how outrageous you may think they are today. Are there things on the list you’d like to do in the next three months, year, five years? Set your goals and leave it out where you’ll see it. Allow it to serve as a reminder. If you hear or read about something that stirs up curiosity, add it to the list. When doubt rears its ugly head, don’t dismiss it. There will be days when you say, ‘this is lame’ or ‘what’s the point’… and that’s okay. Explore why you feel that way and then tell your Self, “This is important me because I want to ________________.” Move forward by altering your perspective to help you see the “positives.” Gift your Self a pep talk. After all, you deserve to have fun, learn and experience new things. There is a world out there waiting for you to uncover.

“Look to the past only to review the lessons, not to relive them.”

Subtle Reminders

Inspiration blossoms in beautiful ways. Watching a young child play reminds us to fill our days with more fun and excitement. Witnessing the kindness of the man assisting another person pick up the items that where only seconds ago being carried offers an example of compassion. The elderly couple holding hands as they sit on the park bench reinforces how love can grow stronger over time.

The ideas for each blog post come from observation - things I encounter each day. Listening to a mother talk about her teenage children, a young woman facing divorce, the man who finds it difficult to be lonely, and sometimes the posts are developed based on an experience I have gone through. It is when you set the intention of doing whatever it is you do for the highest good for all with harm to none, life will be more harmonious and peaceful. We possess the ability to make our own choices. There is no wrong way, there is no right way to do anything. The key element to living the life you wish to have is to stop the blame-game and take responsibility for the situation you've put yourself. This life you are living is your own creation.

The more I come to understand this concept, the less I like some of the decisions I've made. It is through these experiences I'm seeing the value in the statement “Live in the moment.” By living in the moment, from the point of Self-love, your actions are not driven by what someone did to you six years ago, what a lover told you once, how your parents raised you – oh, the list could on for miles. If the emotion you feel is painful, or offered a less than desirable way to value yourself, honor it as a lesson. Don't hold it internally and file it into your memory bank under “Description of Self.” Look at their opinion as that – an opinion. It is a projection from their personal experience. It is not necessarily yours to claim. You decide – TRUE or FALSE. Again I state, “This life you are living is your own creation.”

“Learn to get in touch with the silence within yourself and know that everything in this life has a purpose.”
-Elizabeth Kubler-Ross
Want more love in your life – be more loving.

Want more drama in your life – be dramatic.

Want more peace – be peaceful.

What do you want to create for yourSelf?

The Things We Say & Do

It takes courage to be vulnerable. It's the fear of giving friends, family, enemies and complete strangers the opportunity to hurt us in ways we believe would be detrimental to our well-being that prevents us from being Authentic.

A very common line repeated as if a personal mantra: “I'm my own worst critic.” Sad, but true, many participate in the practice of being the one attacking Self. Who knows the painful pressure points better than anyone else? To protect our internal Self, we build walls and dig motes to remove all access to our spirit by locking it behind an impenetrable gate. But why? To keep everyone out and to prevent future heartbreak? We go through our trials and tribulations to learn more about our own desires.

“Happiness is not a matter of events; it depends upon the tides of the mind.”
-Alice Meynell
The keys to our Self-imposed gate is within reach. The illusion is we cannot unlock it; because what if...... Look into the eyes of the person you see in the mirror and say, “I love you.” Say it with compassion and respect. Release your inhibitions. And yes, you can do this! Strengthen the relationship with Self. Be your own best friend and the person you want to be in this lifetime. Take yourSelf out on a date and do the things you always wanted to try. Don't be afraid. Shatter the mental phrases that hold you back by questioning whether it's worthy of 'truth'.

When you step back from the situation you might find fear is not the root cause of your hesitation; it's being vulnerable to the unknown.

Please note: It was very important that I share this message today. I don't know why or for whom it is intended. I am trusting my intuition. As I walked in the woods yesterday afternoon, the subject of vulnerability entered my thoughts and its affect on people. The flip side to this conversation is – “When you see someone in a vulnerable state, what do you do?”
