Accepting the Answer

The concept of ask and you shall receive is one I once followed loosely; I have witnessed its power and believe in it faithfully.  Like most people, I'd pray for something wonderful to happen, hoping it will fit neatly into the list of wants, begging for it to be all roses and bright sunshiny joy.  It is in my experience:  when we demand an answer, or focus so hard on the outcome, we lose sight of what we initially requested and it seems as though our inquiry fell on deaf ears…again.  Life is the greatest teacher; I continue to learn to ‘expect’, trust, and ‘accept’.  I expect a response will be provided clearly and at the right moment.  Trust it will be for my highest good.  I may not always like the answer, but I accept it.

Yesterday I posed an array of questions regarding inspiration on elementsofbeautystudio.wordpress.com (another blog I write).  Basically, how and what tools do you use to stir up the creative juices?   Less than two hours later, while scrolling through a spam email folder, I found a letter from a woman who had purchased my self-published book ‘Get A Compass Not A Clock’ from a local bookstore.  V.G. wrote the following:  “Your writing is captivating and transcended me into a quiet and meditative place.  I bought your book and am thinking I’d like to get a couple of more copies for friends and my 26-year-old daughter.”

"Many blocked people are actually very powerful and creative personalities who have been made to feel guilty about their strengths & gifts." ~Julia Cameron

The first email I read this morning was from a local publication, it stated:  “Unfortunately, the piece is not for us."  For years I carried the belief that to be considered one of the good local writers I had to fit into this social group of authors.  After reading the rejection letter I heard a heartwarming voice tell me, “This was necessary.”

In this moment, I sit at my keyboard knowing I am paving the path for others to explore their courage and express themselves authentically.  I am proud of my natural talents and of who I am.  I am grateful.  This lesson helped to remove one more writer’s block and reminded me to trust God will lead me to people who I inspire and encourage - and vice versa.

To answer the questions, "What inspires me?"  You.

“Your writing is captivating and transcended me into a quiet and meditative place.  I bought your book and am thinking I’d like to get a couple of more copies for friends and my 26-year-old daughter.”  -V.G.
Thank you...

Shifting Moments

There are a great number of individuals experiencing a shift in their life. A shift in how they feel. A shift in what they believe. A shift in what thoughts we consider true.

Fear is creating a false sense of isolation and uncertainty as relationships, jobs, life situations are changing. Our intuition continues to console us on this journey, while the ego (reinforced by the things we were taught) would have us believe otherwise. Emotions run high one moment, then drag ass the next.

We are in the process of transforming the beliefs at the core of our being from fear, guilt, darkness, lack into that which truly resonates with Self in its purest form ~ love. There is a peaceful solution; we feel it in our hearts. In the manner in which you are most comfortable (prayer, meditation, and so forth) ask for guidance and for this transformation to be gentle, peaceful and loving. Allow yourself to express all the emotions and resist the temptation to bury and ignore what hurts. Focus and explore various ways to experience Self-love, joy, peace, laughter, pride, and curiosity.

When the moment is right, you’ll decide, “I am content in life.” Soon, without realizing it, you’ll ease into claiming, “I love life.” Please understand this process can take as long as you want it too. The decision is yours. No one can say, “In two week, three days, 6 hours and 42 minutes you will have peace of mind.” It would be nice, but the schedule is based on ones desires in a particular moment. It is a choice.

I personally have found it’s difficult to be in a state of fear when I’m too busy giggling and enjoying the moment. A sense of humor has a tremendous impact in keeping the events of the day light and fun.

At Your Own Pace

Change happens. In most cases, it is unexpected; an auto accident, loss of a job, an illness diagnosis, a spouse reveals a secret...the list goes on.

We all deal with change differently. Loving Self during these times can be a bit trying to say the least. Blame, regret, anger, sadness are some of the first thoughts to run rampant in our minds. In an attempt to find comfort, guidance from friends and family is sought. For some, standing there with the viewpoint of not knowing what to say or do, they offer advice and stir up more painful emotions while Self-image and confidence effortlessly slip away. They say things like, "Get over it." "Good he's gone." "Smile, life could be worse." Or more detrimental, "Buck up and put on your big girl panties." How does this help? How is this nurturing? Show me the love in those statements! You can't find it, because it doesn't exist in those clusters of words.

It's important to feel the emotions swirling uncontrollably in that moment. If you are hurting - feel it, experience it and allow it to be. Know that this is just a moment and by letting the emotions to take their natural course you will heal. Trust that you will heal. And, by golly, experience the situation as an observer. Honestly look at it without hiding, burying, avoiding what is actually happening. Don't try to see the other person's point of view. Don't waste precious time attempt to sort it all out. It is what it is, so be it.

By learning to be the observer, it has been my experience to witness and understand that this situation provided me the golden opportunity to explore ways to strengthen Self; to love Self; define Self-love more clearly.

What makes ME feel happy?
What brings joy to MY day?
What can I do for myself that I wish someone would do for me?

Take the time to feel your emotions freely and without judgment. Be compassionate to the loving person you are and allow this situation to arouse the desire for healing. Only you know what is best for you. Look within, your answers are there. Even if for two minutes, be still - quiet - and listen to your spirit say, "I love you."

Shifting Gears

Focus is shifting from the sense that we have to get it all done to how can I relax? Realizing that being overworked, bombarded with deadlines, a to-do list without an ending is no longer a desired way of life; we seek serenity.

Meditation can be used to release the beliefs that no longer fulfill our journey, silence the continuous chatter of the monkey mind, balance energies, access internal wisdom, grounding and align with Self. Like exercise, we know meditation will help us to feel better, be healthier and so forth. Even though the intent is there, it's still resisted. Clocks are watched; and for the Go-Getter's on a constant run, the idea of stopping their busy life for 30-minutes (forget an hour) of meditation is put off for another day. Belief that there isn't enough time delays the action because how could it possibly be productive to stop the forward motion?

On the other side of the pendulum, there are those who try so hard they exert themselves to exhaustion to create a sense of relaxation that when achieved, it's not relaxing at all. Go, go, go, stop. Go, go, go, screeching brakes. This way of life can cause metaphoric whiplash. Ease into the new routine. Do it in baby steps if need be. As a friend told me years ago, "Take your time. This isn't a race. It takes practice. What happens when you slam on the brakes too hard? You smash your forehead on the steering wheel; and who needs the headache?"

Done in niblets, meditation does not require a person to sit in an uncomfortable position with index fingertips pressed against the tips of the thumb forming circular symbols to experience inner peace. Inconspicuous ways people meditate without realizing they are doing it may include:

  • Taking a long walk through the woods
  • Focusing on and repeating an affirmation
  • Sitting in a boat waiting for a fish to bite
  • Soaking in a warm bath watching the flame of a candle flicker
  • Listening to a favorite song that teleports the senses to a peaceful momory
  • Stepping outside from a long day at work and taking in a deep breath of fresh air
  • Watching the sun set
  • Staring out the kitchen window while washing a sink full of dirty dishes
  • Loosing track of time while working on a hobby

Truly there is no right or wrong way to experience serenity; what matters is the intent. It is when focus shifts to developing a healthy relationship between physical and divine Self that true love of Self blossoms naturally.

Please share the ways in which you take time for yourself.

Listening to Emotions

You know how people are searching for peace of mind - a source of joy in their lives? It has been proven that meditation is a technique that helps people transform their lifestyles. It provides an open channel that connects them with Self. Through meditation, you can open your heart to the flow of universal consciousness and, if you choose, live blissfully in the present moment.

There are many reasons people take the time to incorporate the action of meditation into their daily lives, it helps in: improving intuition, relaxation, to rejuvenate energy, reduce stress, connect with personal guides, letting go of fears, forgiveness, open Self to love, inspiration and creativity...just to name a few.

We've all experienced a period when life was uncomfortable and it seems everything is going wrong (remember - there is no right or wrong, only awareness), meditation helped me to dispel some harmful beliefs that were falsely held dear within my heart and thoughts. In relation to feeling the sense of loneliness, feeling everyone else held the keys to the happiness as I stood off in left field, alone and empty handed. My dear friend, we posses the power to change. A belief is only a thought that we replay over and over in our minds until we allow it to become reality.

There is so much power in our words. Worlds are created with the emotions attached to the words. When we become aware of the feelings in that moment, we express the beliefs held dear within and it provides us the opportunity to honestly say, "Hey, is this how I want to feel?" Truly it is our choice.

On the right hand column of the OneGigglingWriter.blogspot.com blog is a section of FREE Worksheets & Stuff. There I have added a free worksheet for anyone to download and explore emotional attachment to a handful of words. It's not necessarily the choice of words we use - verbal or non-verbal - it's the emotional attachment we feel when they are expressed. Awareness can create a defining moment for change.

Take the words I love you. Three simple little words. When you say them to a newborn child, it will sound and feel different than if you were to say it to your parents, to a lover, to a spouse, to a pet... you get the idea. It is the extension of vibrations that impacts the world often times unseen ways. Close your eyes, relax and listen to what your heart has to say.

Into the Light

The sun, only a few hours from setting in the western sky, casted magnificent streamers of light through the maple tree branches above and on both sides of the two-track. The inside of the truck illuminated in an intense hue of yellowish orange. Eyes squinted behind dark blue sunglass lenses, I could barely see where I was going. As I crested the hill and started my descent downward, I giggled to mySelf. Only days ago I felt like the cat in the photo walking past a row of 10-15 German shepherds with the phrase underneath that read, "As I walk through the Valley Of Death, I fear no evil..." Although my version was worded a little differently, it still held the same value. "As I walk through the Valley of Doubt, I fear no failure. I shall succeed by continuing this journey placing one foot in front of the other (even if I have to strangle my ego)."

Courage and Naysayer have become closer friends as September 13th approaches. Listening to the nurturing voice that comes from the internal divine being within versus the ego was much easier this time than in other situations. I spent time with both Courage and Naysaer, and wrapped my arms around Shadow in a loving hug and whispered in her ear, "I love you. I forgive you." I can still feel my breath in my ear.

I have no idea where this path will lead. I am simply trusting. There are daily reminders everywhere in humming neon signs with all sorts of encouraging words to dream big. I continue to ask, "What are the infinite possibilities?" Excitement barely describes the brewing energy percolating from deep within.

You are invited to join me on Monday nights, beginning September 13th, at 9pm EST for Guided Journeys with Cindy on Soul's Journey Radio.

Through our powerful thoughts and imagination a safe and beautiful place is created for healing, insight, clarity and love. Meditations open the lines of communication between mind, body, spirit and divine messengers. Know "the answers" will come in a silent moment - when the mind is still.

In this period of growing awareness, I have tapped into my skills as a Lightworker, intuitive healer and writer to assist those that are ready to align with Self. There is a precious being within all of us eager to share love, wisdom, knowledge and Truth. We can learn so much by taking a moment and allowing the voice of the Heart to communicate.

I would like to take a moment to thank Sahvanna for her kindness, guidance and this opportunity.

Journey on the Woven Web

Coincidence? I think not. Several friends proclaim September is a month of rebirth, renew and time to stop thinking of what you’re gonna do and put the plans into motion. This is no long a period of rest. Awesome. I have the motivation, inspiration and the energy to pursue my dreams.

A popular social networking site has connected me with people I would have otherwise never met. Well, hold on, this string of the webbing starts even before the site was a blip in someone’s creative mind. It began the day I met Denise Iwaniw in Traverse City. Sitting in the audience listening to her adventures and information from her new book “Embracing the Mystic Within” opened a new chapter for me. Guided to go to this gathering, I knew something wonderful would blossom from it.

Wait. Back the bus up. The string on this webbing goes further back to when I worked for Marc at the local radio station WBNZ. I jumped at the opportunity to learn how commercials were produced and how the daily log incorporated into the programming. With the eagerness of a curious five year old, I was all ears. Marc taught me a lot about radio and how well-planned silence can be crucial at the right moment. However, too much dead air on a radio station causes dials to be spontaneously rotated to the left or the right.

Public speaking, with everyone’s attention focused on what I have to say, has been a bit easier to do than I anticipated. I never found comfort in standing up in front of a crowd before I facilitated several open forums last fall. I was the one who sat in the back row snickering at some inside joke that crossed my sassy mind.

Back to Denise, she shared with us that evening the internet link to her radio show on Soul’s Journey Radio. I started listening to her show on Wednesday nights when my schedule allowed. Through Denise I met show host Diana Dorell and several other wonderful women. Naturally this is how I was introduced to Sahvanna, founder of Soul’s Journey Radio, Soul’s Journey Community and the newest addition to her line up – Soul’s Journey TV. When Sahvanna inquired on the networking site if anyone had an idea for a new show on Soul’s Journey Radio I sent her an email. A dream evolving into reality…

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” –M. Gandhi

It amazes me to witness how the web of life has introduced the people and various experiences into my journey. I am grateful for the opportunity to assist those that are ready to align and listen to the inner knowing with the Higher Self ~ the beautiful being within all of us. It is my privilege to make the following announcement:

Loving the Naysayer

Forging past fear appears easy on the big screen as we encourage the hero from the safety of a cushioned theater chair. It can be another thing to stand up in the face of our own fears to move past self-imposed challenges. Fight or flight. Stand up sit down. Do it yourSelf or pray that someone else will come along to handle the situation. An old way of thinking is to have everyone else decide how to find the looming solution or seek out someone willing to stroke the ego enough to boost the internal courage hidden behind the spinal cord to come forth.

It takes practice and determination to let old beliefs fall to the wayside. As mentioned over and over, there is no right or wrong decisions - only awareness. Each choice causes a ripple effect. The problem lies in the lack of decision making while waiting for an exterior source to help. Fear can be crippling as it creates more fear until there is no movement. Yikes! In order to grow, find peace, experience joy, laugh, love, some kind of motion has to take place. Take in a deep breath and allow your shoulders to relax as you exhale. Feel better? Yeah me, too.

Inside all of us is a wise one that knows only Truth. Find time each day to pause and listen to the internal voice through meditation, reflection, daydreaming, staring off into the distant sunset and even during a long hot shower. Learn a variety of techniques to quiet the chattering monkey mind. Excuses can be found as to the why not's. What do you desired? How can you expand your experience? How can it get any better than this?

Recently I've made a significant decision. And it was easy. I trust my inner voice. Yes, it will involve spending money. Yes, it involves going more public with my services. And yes, I am feeling fear. I also know from the depths of my being this is the path in which I desire to journey. Listening to Self during quiet moments, I gracefully understand how many different experiences have lead to this moment - a manifestation. There is a stubborn, nay-saying three year-old girl sitting on my right shoulder that I've asked to be my friend. I'm listening to her fears and embracing them. I am nurturing fear with love. What better way can you think of to develop a healthy relationship? The more I love and get to understand the three year-old naysayer, the softer her tantrums and the complaints lessen. Somehow she will get my attention. I rather it come through love.

Shadow Work

A day late and much wiser for it. I’m dealing with my shadows. They are parts of me (memories) that I have blocked, are unaware of (from past lives) and have simply forgotten. The shadows are the unresolved issues within me - emotional triggers/reactions/behavioral patterns. And yes, you have them as well. That’s a good thing. It’s time to start acknowledging that side of Self.

Awareness is vital for it holds the keys to unlocking what is either out of reach or hidden from us. The more I’m exposed to the subject of shadows the more I’m realizing how unaware I was to them. I heard the descriptive title shadows for the first time last week and now it seems to be my new theme word. Let me clarify, I’ve heard the word used in the same context, but hadn’t felt its meaning and value as I do at this moment. It’s time to heal another aspect of me – the part that I dread and feared for all these years.

Emotions serve as a compass. When we are happy go lucky and joyful, we are in our vibrational flow and aligned with Self. When we begin to spiral downward with negative thoughts, we are no longer in the flow and life seems to suck big time. It hurts and the more we dwell on the pain and frustration, the more we fall downward like a slinky on a tall, steep staircase. Tumbling with an occasional thud, but the momentum seems to carry us down, down, down until we consciously say, “STOP!”

I’ve found the courage to see the shadow for what it is – a part of me. My shadows affect you and yours affects my life. Working individually on our shadows, yet united, we co-create the lives we truly attract. Let’s begin by appreciating the shadow’s willingness to come to the surface to be recognized. Get to know the shadow and make friends with it. Love this part of me. It serves as another gateway for love and light – the source of healing energy. The biggest realization that I’ve noticed is how I use distraction (television, radio, chores, busy work, and etc) to keep my mind unfocused on the issues at hand. I’m taking time each day, as often as I can, to allow silence to fill the environment. Without the distractions, I am not interfering with my own personal awareness and this provides me the opportunity to become familiar with the destructive patterns/behaviors so I can alter my beliefs.

I foresee this will be a topic I continue to discuss on this blog. The flowing is more or less the suggestions that I’ve noted for me and wish to share with you as it may help you with your own enlightenment:

By being thankful for what you have versus what you don’t have will help a person to get closer to aligning with Self.

Know you are loved.

You are never alone for your Higher Self is always with you and will never ever separate connection with you. We are surrounded by angelic guides gently offering guidance and with freewill we choose to either accept or deny the assistance. Spend time in nature. Talk to the trees, the rocks, the birds and the deer – pausing long enough to hear to their wisdom. Slow down and listen.

There is power in your thoughts and words.

Learn to silence the monkey-mind and turn off the distractions we use to drown out his chatting.

Focus on and see the goodness of Self – the Universe.

Value Self as a Being of Pure Love and Light.

Ask “What are the infinite possibilities?” from a point of positive belief (not lack).

Know that you are the creator of your own reality – Perception and Awareness are key.

Love and Forgive Self. Always be compassionate with Self.

A knowing comes from the Heart; a thought is the current belief in this moment.

“A belief is only a thought I continue to think. A belief is only my habit of thought; it’s only a practiced thought – a belief is only a thought that I think a lot.” –Abraham/Hicks (The Vortex - Where the Law of Attraction Assembles All Cooperative Relationships, written by Ester and Jerry Hicks)

Written Signs

When a particular animal repetitively enters into our day-to-day activities, wonder become curiosity and soon we ask, "Oh, what are the deer trying to tell me?" Like a friend pokin' ya in the ribs to get your attention, the deer have a message. Time might be spent searching the meaning in books, on the internet and some will choose to go within for inner guidance. What about words?

Singular words stick out in a crowd of letters and vowels waiting for me to notice. There have been times when I swear they reach right off the page, grab my shirt collar firmly and say, "Hey, you! Yeah, you! Look at what I'm telling you!" For a period of time the word trust seemed predominate; other times it was love, forgiveness, joy, meditate, and the list continues for pages. Right now it is COMPASSION. I see the ten letter word in articles, quotes posted on social media sites, books, hear it spoken in the post office - everywhere. It's like being back in Jr. High and the English teacher's word of the week is compassion.

"There is a common perception that compassion is, if not actually an impediment, at least irrelevant to professional life. Personally, I would argue that not only is it relevant, but that when compassion is lacking, our activities are in danger of becoming destructive. This is because when we ignore the question of the impact our actions have on others' well-being, inevitably we end up hurting them." -Dalai Lama

The significance of seeing these signs is that it provides us an opportunity for personal growth (if one chooses). There's a sense of 'am I being honest about compassion towards Self and others?' The domino effect can move our internal dialog to ask, "What aspects do I wish to change?" "Is there another way?" "Am I open to exploring new possibilities?"

It is during these moments knowledge expands and the matrix of the Universe exposes a little more of what once seemed hidden. Awareness to options, altered beliefs accepted and again our wisdom evolves. Appreciation for the experiences encourages mindsets to change as the desire to be authentic becomes the focus. Not only do we see the world clearer, we're able to light the way for others who wish to empower the potential within themselves like a lighthouse on a foggy morning.

Leading the Way

Why do we waste so much time desperately searching for a purpose to our life versus experiencing life. What if it were as simple as to explore joy, happiness, contentment? For most, in order to appreciate what they term a 'blessings' conflict is endured. Can you think of a better way to define desires?

You wanted a job; you got a job. You wish your boss was better at managing the staff; you got another job where the boss is a better manager. You wish you had job where the boss was a better manager and you wanted to be paid more money; you got a different job with a better boss and paid more money. You wanted a job, a boss that’s a great manager, paid more money and now you want more vacation time… Can you see how most of us define our desires? This works with every aspect of life – homes, friendships, lovers, relationships, jobs, cars, vacations, etc.

The key element is not to “want” from the lack of not having, but believing it is possible to obtain. It is possible. There are no limits, except those that you believe.

I heard myself repeat the phrase, “It’s not a race,” to a dear friend of mine who is just becoming aware of their gifts. Right now the person is reading, researching and consuming information faster than I could eat a plate of chocolate chip cookies. It’s as though they feel they have to catch up to the others at the party. Funny thing is that was me years ago. A good friend of mine sat down with me and made the point over and over this is not a race, there is no finish line, take your time in evolving and observe as you become aware of/remember what you already know.

The knowledge is there within each of us. Slow down (especially if you feel life is going too fast, chaotic, out of control) and value the time spent alone. Take time to listen to your inner wisdom. It’s there, I promise you. When you connect to the internal wise one you find no reason to seek your answers outside of Self. I suppose for some it can happen in a matter of a short period of time, and others it could take years. With a desire to open up to your own awareness, you can accomplish anything. Recently, while in meditation, I receive the message "Life is about joy, experiencing contentment, and when you (I) do, the feeling from within will be indescribable. Relax and bless all situations. They are your internal compass."

Soaking in the Words

I was driving down a county road when the cluster of words came to me begging to be put to paper. It doesn’t matter who the phrase is intended for or how they come across the poem. It always comes into light in perfect time.

Self -love, -worth, -appreciation, -gratification may not come easy some days. Years back I found in a book or on the internet to verbalize the statement “I love you” in the mirror. At first I felt a tad bit awkward. Okay, downright silly. I wondered how this was going to help me feel better about the person looking back at me. In a short amount of time it became easier and less (for a lack of a better word) embarrassing. A new sense of pride, appreciation, value percolated and the statement developed strength. There is power in our words, especially the unspoken.

When the world seems less than ideal, I’ve learned it is important to care for the sensitive person inside. Being empathetic is a blessing and at moments not so much. On one hand it makes forgiveness easier because I understand – I feel what the other person is feeling. With this gift of sensitive energy and strong intuition, it took me a long time to realize how easy it is to absorb the ‘not-so-nice information’ internally. Mood swings like a pendulum slamming to the left and then the right without resistance.

“Claiming “I’m fine” with tears flowing internally is a difficult way of life.” –Cindy Kochis

Years ago, I became aware of how other people’s ‘stuff’ affected me. It became very important for me to explore ways to resist the temptation to and prevent myself from soaking up their vibrational energy and take claim to it involuntarily. The ‘ick’ clouds my mood and provides the monkey mind with destructive ammunition. Again, there is great power in unspoken words. The ongoing practice to shield the aura is vital. A few of the techniques I find work the best for me is meditation, journaling, affirmations and an evolving believe in Self.

Yesterday was one of those ouch days at work. My aura was wide open like a barn door and a dry sponge in the heart of it eager for anything. I soaked up the aggression, the insecurity and whatever else was ready to attach to my being. I felt as though I’d been beaten with the metaphorical 2x4 and then toss out into the highway in front of a Mack truck. Splat. It was a long ride home once I completed my shift. After I tossed another tissue into the trash, rolled over, snuggled deep in the safety of my quilts, I recalled what I wrote over a week ago:

“I extend to you
The security of a mother’s hug
The warmth of a lover’s embrace
The joy of child’s curiosity
The peace of calm water
The harmony in a celebrated moment
This is the gift of love I share with you…”

Early Morning Energy

More time was spent tossing and turning last night than the act of sleeping. Odd dreams of my young sons and I in a house that wasn't ours, a snippet of working in a job I've never held, and any of the other bazaar glimpses I remember involved cleaning. In the house, that wan't ours but was, I washed dishes in a household kitchen with two sinks and getting the trash ready to be taken out. At the place of work, I had to run across the street to the bakery for more paper towels because our office ran out and no one filled out a requisition form. Funny thing was while I was being told by the employees of the bakery that they too were out of paper towels, the owner gave me some outdated sherbet in plastic sleeves instead of the usual bucket. It did look yummy.

At 4:11 a.m. I effortlessly woke up wondering, "what's with all the cleaning?" As quick as the thought entered, it was gone and my internal conversation started to focus on meditation. Yeah, weird I know. I was awake and unable to slip back in to sleep. I suppose it could have been simply that I didn't want to do any more cleaning.

The thoughts filling my less than groggy mind were not on the why's to meditate, but on the techniques and sacred space journeying. Did you know that zoning out or daydreaming is a form of meditation? How about sitting and watching the waves lap up the shoreline? It's not just about sitting Indian style with palms face up balancing on your knees with thumps and index fingers lightly pressed together to create a circle. It's actually less complicated (and you cannot do it wrong). It is about allowing (giving opportunity) the spirit within to communicate freely with the mind and body on all dimensions. We receive the best information and guidance from our internal compass for the soul's only intent is for the highest good.

As I tossed one more time this time facing the curtain dancing in the wind, I started thinking of the energy flow that occurs during the Heart Source Healing Guided Meditation I wrote. It was then I realized we harmonize, balance and cleanse the chakras, but what about the other energy ports in our physical bodies. The 'oh yeah' and 'ah-ha' phrases settled and I wondered why I hadn't thought of this earlier? They deserve just as much attention as the chakras.

Hands are well known portals for energy flow. The loving touch of a mother or loved one can bring comfort and peace of mind. The healing touch of someone who cares during a crisis instills support. The reminder of purity when a young child touches your hand and says, "I love you."

Our bodies consist of a network of energy points (hands, feet, hips, elbows, shoulders, etcetera). And what some may not understand is these portals are connected to a matrix of all energies. For example: How do you feel around one person versus another? If your were standing next to person A in a group of their friends, how would their energy differ than when alone? Change it around again and while standing next to person A surrounded by person B's aggressive peers, how does the network of energy feel?

Energy is information. Our intuition deciphers the energy and provides us with information internally though our sensory system. The "good feeling" you have about a person, the "fear" of the location. It's how we make choices.

So, at four o'clock this morning what were you thinking about? I remembered to add a technique to assist listeners of Heart Source Healing Guided Meditation to harmonize, balance and cleanse all their energy ports.

Sit Monkey. Sit.

See, feel, the knowing within the heart center. It is there - waiting patiently. Distraction can be labeled the culprit, but it is only an action. The monkey mind (ego) often time finds other things for us to tend to versus seeking answers, peace, balance, harmony.

Meditation is a common method for quieting the monkey mind so the intuitive voice can be acknowledged. The line, "I don't have the time," is a well-used excuse and one I've used. There's always another load of laundry to throw in the washer, floors needing vacuuming, dishes to be washed, dust bunnies to be rounded up and put outside, a dog wanting to be groomed and heaven forbid if we didn't clip our toe nails! I almost added cleaning the closets but then you'd know I was over dramatizing.

In the silence of our mind, our spirit is able to communicate with Self on many levels. The hesitation or resistance to find our answers through the means of meditation is the ego wishing to control or stifle the situation. Growth cannot happen without light and light comes from love. Believe, or better yet, know that you can do - be - create anything. Become aware of the time spent worrying needlessly and avoidance of personal growth. Change occurred through observation. Nurture the loving being within and the self-imposed barriers will begin to dissolve.

Near the beginning of one of the guided meditation, I wrote, "Feel your thoughts soften as the monkey mind slows down and takes a seat on a comfortable recliner in the back of your mind. He is comfortable. He is silent. This is your time." Meditation can take as long as a deep breath in and the exhale out, or as long as an hour. The choice is up to you.

In the calmness of the mind, the heart center opens to the continuous flow of giving and receiving of love without resistance. Personal healing and the strengthening bond of Self-love permeates to and from your being. Witness the miracles. Open your mind to the powerful energy you already possess. Nothing can stop you from fulfilling your desires. For if you believe, it must be. So it is...

Wordless Conversations

Wordless conversations surround us. Signs and symbols provide awareness to the truth within. The messages serve as reminders, encouragement, inspiration, warning, in-sight. And they are there, when you see them.

Recently I composed a Guided Meditation titled ‘Nature Within.’ Each time I read it to an audience, the response is magnificent. Words cannot begin to describe the heartfelt emotions emanating from the group. After we’ve had a few minutes to ponder the journey to our sacred space, I ask, “What is the one thing that stood out for you.” It amazes me, a sense of a proud mother, to hear the moment that was to them profound. Of course, I respect everyone’s privacy and no one has to divulge anything they wish to keep silent.

When we look to nature, we find peace. The intriguing part is each symbol can provide a different meaning from one person to another - one situation to another. For example when I see a deer grazing behind near my home, it reminds me to be gentle on my Self and express only loving emotions. Other times the doe can signify that I need to slow down, take time to be aware. A sign received especially while driving. The meanings I receive may or may not vary from you. Each time I go to search the meanings from a book, I sense that I already know the answer. I do. You do, too. All our answers can be found internally when we pay attention. Meditation is a wonderful way to get tuned in, tapped on and connected with our divine Self. It is a gift we can give Self and unites us with our own awareness – our truth.

I would like to share with you a few of my experiences. A single coyote standing in the middle of the road about a half mile ahead, motionless, watching me arrive in my truck. Fear evaporates and is transformed as I see the innocence in his eyes and the expression of unconditional love in his gaze. The turtle on a road far, far away from a natural water source served as a reminder that home is within. It is an emotion I carry with me. A house is a structure; home is the energy and emotions felt. The crows on the side of the road symbolize multi-dimensional information while to others they may see it as a sign of magic or a message from the wise ones. The interpretation is ours to explore. Think about a recent sighting you paused and thought, “What are you trying to show me?” Usually the first thought provides insight to the answer you seek. Here’s where you need to pay attention, is the internal dialog coming from a loving space or from the ego (monkey mind)? I suggest listening to only the communications from the heart.

Pick a Voice, Not Just ANY Voice

What do you deserve? Are you unknowingly holding yourSelf back because you don't feel worthy, smart or talented? Thoughts of, I'm not good enough. Someone else has already done it. So-and-so is much better than I am. Whose voice are we listening to? If we are focusing our attention on the voice of our Inner Self – Higher Self – the Universal voice – Heart Source – God – that part of You that speaks Your truth – it would express only love.

We could plunge into the deep well of ego, but it's not how I want to share this precious time with you. Not today. Let's journey in the direction of Self awareness. There is peace in our monkey minds when we listen to the soft, loving, gentle and sometimes barely above a whisper inner voice that is Self.

The transition of manifesting reality comes from emotions towards Self, what we believe we're worthy of and where we focus our energy consciously and subconsciously. We deserve to be loved. We deserve to enjoy all of life's bounty. We deserve limitless amounts of joy. You and I have infinite potential to accomplish any and every -thing by releasing fear, the sensation of lack, and doubt. Some days it will seem easier to do than others, but keep practicing. That's all it is. You cannot do this wrong since there is no right way. It is the repetition of strengthening our Inner voice that encourages it to become loud and clear.

Meditation is one way of establishing a stronger connection to Self. By taking even a few minutes when waking up, in a stressful moment, in a joyful moment or as you close your eyes before sleep, will assist in developing your bond with Self. There are many versions of meditation: sitting with legs crossed, hands palm side up resting on the knees and eyes closed; listening to a guided meditation; repeating a phrase/mantra; and even watching the sunrise/sunset. The list is long and I believe you will find your favorite way of traveling inward and finding your sacred space within.

There is so much in life to explore. No matter what someone else has ever said to you to cause any form of heartbreak, they are only words. It's time to step out of the muck, cleanse off and release the binding affects that hold you back. Take a moment and tell Self, “I love you. I respect you. I forgive you and all that have brought harm to me or others. I deserve to give and receive only the purest of love.”

Give your dreams and desires the freedom from the less-than-loving voice to experience your Soul's expressions. -Cindy Kochis

Goddess Impact

A relationship can last a lifetime or as long as it takes to smile at a stranger. Each person we encounter will have an impact whether at home, work, even while shopping for eggs and milk.

On Monday, I wrote the line, “No one will ever love me like he did.” It's a very true statement. People may have similar qualities, however we are all unique with our special way of experiencing life. We interpret each interaction differently based on moods, age, circumstances, environment, peers and how we emotionally feel towards the individual in that particular moment.

On the flip side, what impact do you have on others? Do you walk around without regard to those around you or do you go out of your way to be kind and loving? Are you in the mood to seek peace or on the warpath? There are no right or wrong answers to the question, only the extraction of awareness. You have every right to feel the way you do without exception, without apologies, without hesitation. It's not healthy to resist and attempt to stifle emotions. Like a river, if they are blocked and flow is prevented, the energy behind it builds until it either overflows or bursts.

“There are no right or wrong answers to the question, only the extraction of awareness.” -Cindy Kochis

There are many avenue in which to express what you are feeling. The objective is to find what works best for you. For example you could call a close friend, write in a journal, meditate, and even beating a little blue ball in a game of racquet ball will help in some situations. The goal is to move the energy out of the system/mind without hanging onto any unwanted residual affects. In other words, retain the memory of things that make you feel good and let it go of the rest. Ask yourself, “Is this for my highest good?”

Unless you are in the performing arts, don't waste your time (or mine) pretending to be someone you are not; well, only if you want to. Part of being authentic is being you – in the Now. I've surprised many people with my inability to react the way they expect. I will not be cheerleader if I'm not in the rah-rah mode, I will not be the over-actor, I will not fake it for anyone at anytime anywhere.

I have set the intent of “for the highest and best good for all” placing Self first before everyone else. By treating mySelf as a Goddess worthy of a wonderful life experience, it naturally overflows on to how I impact others.

Rules - Smules

What priorities? I'm having fun. Updated business cards are printed and ready to be cut, a pile of items to bring with me accumulate beside my desk and lots of wo-hoo energy buzzin'. Preoccupied with getting ready for the group Guided Meditation I'm leading tonight I neglected writing my Monday morning blog post and there's not a lick of guilt fillin' this mind.

Rules – smules. Whose rules are the right one to follow anyways? And who's to say they aren't wrong? We live in a world where we are led to believe someone else has the power to dictate what's to be right. Are we havin' fun yet? There is nothing wrong (or right) about how we move from moment to moment ~ it is what it is so do it your way. Sure, this way of living has bugged the snot out of people who believed they were an authoritative figure in my life (bosses, co-workers, friends, pedestrians...) and I'm okay with it. I'm such a rebel-rouser. My intent is always set for the highest good for all with harm to none. Being true to yourSelf empowers and strengthens Self-Love. Do what feels right to you and worry less about what others think.

“You can make somebody laugh, but you can't make them happy.” - Laurie Kornilow

When we delay our dreams due to the fear of what will others think, we are not allowing Self the ability to freely fulfill our desires. We tend to waste too much time worrying. What if... Should I... Will this cause... To be honest, I used to have a worry-infested mind. Like any habit (and that's all it is), it takes practice and determination to stop beating yourSelf up in this manner. Trusting everything has a purpose has had a substantial impact in my growth.

”You've done it before and you can do it now. See the positive possibilities. Redirect the substantial energy of your frustration and turn it into positive, effective, unstoppable determination.” - Ralph Marston

Strictly out of fear, three years ago I would never have considered telling people I'm an intuitive healer. Two years ago I would never have told anyone I'm leading a group Guided Mediation. Today I sit before you doing my Monday morning finger-tapping keyboard dance at 2:30 pm asking, “What will you accomplish in this moment?”

Stagnant Thought Mantra

Self-talk was the subject that came to mind this morning as I lay in bed easing from sleepy-state to somewhat awake. As I sat down to the computer all excited to have effortlessly come up with an idea for my Monday morning finger-tapping keyboard dance, I wrote the first sentence and immediately was wordless. Errt...to a complete thought-process stop. Huh? Dang-nab-it. For a little inspiration, I pulled this week's “Discover the Buddha” meditation card created by OSHO.

“Everything arises and passes away. When you see this, you are above sorrow. This is the shining way.” - OSHO

Today's meditation card communicates the necessity to accept change without clinging to our current situation. “Yes,” I thought, “this fits in with Self-talk.” What does harmful Self-talk center around? Fear. Why do we resist change? Fear. How do we maintain the feeling of being in a rut? Fear. I could keep going, but why? You get the point I'm making. What is fear – an illusion!

“By resisting the temptation to hold onto our current beliefs, we can move freely between moments.” - Cindy Kochis

Mind over matter is a powerful tool for it is the action of what we wish to perceive. We have the capabilities to make ourSelf healthy/sick, rich/poor, happy/sad through our thoughts, not reality. We use a great deal of energy to focus on these aspects. If we think we are sick, we become ill. If we believe we are destined to be poverty-stricken, prosperity will always feel out of reach. Whatever you believe will be true for you. We mentally repeat phrases like a personal mantra.
“I'm stupid.” versus “I'm brilliant.”
“Augh, do I have to go to work today? I hate going to work.” versus “I can't wait to get to the store and see how many people I can help today.”
“I have no friends.” versus “Wow, I feel so bless to be surround by such wonderful people.”
“I'm bored.” versus “Yes, now I have time to relax.”

I'll be the first to admit, I was one of those who felt that when times were good, I didn't want anything to change. But, who's to say the next moment would be anything less than fantastic? We establish our opinions of the situation based on desires and personal perception. What is good to one person could be horrific to another. For example: I would love to spend a week at a cabin in the middle of the woods surrounded by nature and wildlife. On the flip side, this kind of time away from home for a friend of mine living in a large city would absolutely terrify her and cause a great amount of anxiety.

Must we hold onto our stagnant thoughts and prevent our Self from accepting change?

Provoking Insight

There is no doubt that we seek answers out side of ourselves. Turning to friends and family (even complete strangers) for advice and suggestions on how to live our own lives when we already intuitively know what's best for us. Some find the idea of sitting quietly and listening to the inner voice of love, our true Self, to be less exciting then going to the Gynecologist for a pap smear.

“The moralist always judges, the aware person never judges. He lives in a nonjudgmental consciousness. He simply watches and understands.” - OSHO

Oracle, meditation and tarot cards bring a bit of insight when used with the intent of “For the Highest Good for All with harm to none.” There are times when the messages drawn are unwelcome because the perceived guidance drawn is less than in our favor. Wait, isn't that why we sought the advice? In order to change, we have to look at the cause to encourage the desired affect.

Each Monday, I drawn one card from the “Discover the Buddha” Meditation to Meet the Buddha Within by OSHO and leave it propped up on my desk as a daily reminder. The card drawn fits perfectly into what is happening in my life in this moment. Today's card reads, “A mind beyond judgments watches and understands.” As we go forth on our paths of enlightenment non judgment is one of those things that, at times, seems pretty easy and without issue... and occasionally we find ourselves pre-judging someone based on opinions we were taught by another person and or society.

This week observe your thoughts. Are you consciously or subconsciously judging? Share with us your Ah-ha moments.
