Interwoven Messages

Fear is a belief. Fear from a past life can affect this life. Fear is part of our shadow work; an aspect of Self to be nurtured and seen for what it really is ~ withdrawal from Love.

In a conversation with a friend, I asked him if it was okay to tell him something he may or may not believe. He was open to what I had to say and listened. I asked him if he knew a woman who has passed on with long, straight black hair and the most beautiful brown eyes (the kind you cannot look away from). She appeared to be Native American Indian or at least part Indian. She came to me (she's visited on several occasions) this time just before I was getting in the bath tub for a soak and requested I share with this man her gratitude and love. He made a difference in her life. [As a side note, there's nothing like standing naked getting ready to put a foot in the warm water when something like this happens. Of course, I giggle at the irony as I write this article - vulnerability.]

At the time of the conversation, he seemed okay with the message. Uncertain of who the woman was, he was still appreciative. As we parted ways, I wondered if it was bothering him on some level. The next day I emailed a quick note just make sure I hadn't upset him. I explained, "It's that vulnerability issue - putting myself out there to 'get noticed' (and burnt at the stake)." The moment those consonances and vowels spread across the page, a flash back of the morning I woke up in absolute terror filled the mind.

The dream what horrifying to say the least. However, it answered the question I'd been asking for years - "What's holding me back?" I woke up knowing who it was that turned me into the council for being a witch in the days when innocent women where being burned at the stake or hung. The person was a loved one, a person I (in that lifetime) trusted with all of my heart and loved to the core of my being. Forgiveness, compassion and love surround the dream and still continues to provide me insight.

Learning to trust in the trust of trusting is not bravery ~ it is embracing love of Self unconditionally. Love is the key element to everything... What belief is holding you back?

Into the Light

The sun, only a few hours from setting in the western sky, casted magnificent streamers of light through the maple tree branches above and on both sides of the two-track. The inside of the truck illuminated in an intense hue of yellowish orange. Eyes squinted behind dark blue sunglass lenses, I could barely see where I was going. As I crested the hill and started my descent downward, I giggled to mySelf. Only days ago I felt like the cat in the photo walking past a row of 10-15 German shepherds with the phrase underneath that read, "As I walk through the Valley Of Death, I fear no evil..." Although my version was worded a little differently, it still held the same value. "As I walk through the Valley of Doubt, I fear no failure. I shall succeed by continuing this journey placing one foot in front of the other (even if I have to strangle my ego)."

Courage and Naysayer have become closer friends as September 13th approaches. Listening to the nurturing voice that comes from the internal divine being within versus the ego was much easier this time than in other situations. I spent time with both Courage and Naysaer, and wrapped my arms around Shadow in a loving hug and whispered in her ear, "I love you. I forgive you." I can still feel my breath in my ear.

I have no idea where this path will lead. I am simply trusting. There are daily reminders everywhere in humming neon signs with all sorts of encouraging words to dream big. I continue to ask, "What are the infinite possibilities?" Excitement barely describes the brewing energy percolating from deep within.

You are invited to join me on Monday nights, beginning September 13th, at 9pm EST for Guided Journeys with Cindy on Soul's Journey Radio.

Through our powerful thoughts and imagination a safe and beautiful place is created for healing, insight, clarity and love. Meditations open the lines of communication between mind, body, spirit and divine messengers. Know "the answers" will come in a silent moment - when the mind is still.

In this period of growing awareness, I have tapped into my skills as a Lightworker, intuitive healer and writer to assist those that are ready to align with Self. There is a precious being within all of us eager to share love, wisdom, knowledge and Truth. We can learn so much by taking a moment and allowing the voice of the Heart to communicate.

I would like to take a moment to thank Sahvanna for her kindness, guidance and this opportunity.

Highways of Thought

Patience seemed to be the reaccurring theme as I drove to Marquette Friday morning. It was as though the Universe was reminding me to slow down, take my time, observe the journey, all events happen in perfect timing. Funny thing is I am one of the most patient people you will meet when it comes to receiving holiday gifts. However… when it comes to change, I want it now. Waiting for the green light to go is almost tortuous for this redhead. There is change in the air and I can feel it percolating. Sometime in the near future I will be moving. The ‘when’ part isn’t as important as the acceptance of the idea – moving. As I crested the hill on M-28 a few miles west of Christmas, a town well known for the wooden replica of Santa and Mrs. Claus, there was a sense of I’m almost home. The view of Lake Superior from this vantage point is breathtaking. This relaxed, tension releasing exhilaration felt familiar as though I had come over a hilltop a mile from the road I grew up on. “I’m home.”

The relaxing time up north was spent with family. My cousin Robert passed away in March at his home in Wisconsin and this past Friday his parents hosted a memorial service in his honor. Uncle Terry play Amazing Grace on his favorite clarinet before closing prayer for his son's service. This family tradition started long before I can remember and this was by far Terry's best performance as we sat in silence with freefalling tears. The power of his music embraced all of us. A previously unnoticed garden wind chime twinkled slightly in the still air. Bobbie was there sharing his unconditional love and support in the celebrated moment.

Family and friends joined Aunt Sylvia and Uncle Terry in their garden to continue the celebration of Bobbie’s life. Young children played and investigated the rock pathways, snuggled and napped. Adults shared in memories and plans for the future, food and laughter. A dragonfly perched on a flower was photographed by the camera-packing individuals. Handfuls upon handfuls of wild blueberries were picked from the patch behind the floral garden. Everyone felt at home.

It was good for me to slip away from routine and share the ticking of the wrist watch with family whom I hadn’t seen in about two and a half years. I resisted the temptation to call in sick to work on Sunday and headed back to my Lower Michigan reality late Saturday afternoon. The six hour drive offered plenty of one-on-one time with Self to think, sing to the radio and devour chocolate peacefully without having to share. My thoughts seem to focus on what do I want? If I could create anything, be anything, do anything…what? A fair number of questions were answered listening to the humming of tires rolling effortlessly down Highway 2 and across the Mackinaw Bridge. Others were left unanswered until the time is perfect for revealing. As a dear friend of mine reminds me often, “It’s all in the enfoldment. Allow it to be.”

Quote for the Day

"Where you may see death and decay, I see life and love."

Begin with "I Miss You."

During a two year period we had ten funerals on my mother’s side of the family alone, not including my father-in-law’s, family on my dad’s side of the family, nor any of my friend’s or their children. My grandfather’s death was the first in the series, with my Uncle Bernie's the last. I need to mention here my uncle, during the period, had already lived with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma for around four years. If you know anything about this form of cancer, it’s a death sentence. I was (and still am) very close to my Uncle Bernie on many levels. We still have a special bond. As we would get ready to leave the luncheon after services, we’d say to each other, “See ya at the next family reunion.” It was our inside joke and eased the twist of pain from the heart as we said good-bye to another family member.

I found my shower to be my sacred space. With the noise from the radio and pouring water, this little 30” x 30” cubical was the only place I felt I could cry and let go and not be disturbed. I could let down my guard, be vulnerable. For Pete’s sake, how can you not be vulnerable when you’re naked? Standing in my shower with the hot water pounding on my back, forehead pressed against the shower wall supporting me as my arms dangled with streams of water cascading off my fingertips. This was when the emotions flowed. I’d cry, beg God for help and occassionally dance to the song on the radio. I was safe there. Soon I found myself talking to my Uncle Bernie when I was in my sacred space; asking why, how, what the hell? Sometimes I would hear the answers or solutions in my mind. It wasn’t until years later that I realized I was actually channeling him, and he was helping me from the other side.

If you are missing someone that has pasted on, relax your mind, set a focused intent on the loved one and speak from your heart. What I mean by ‘speak from your heart’ is to communicate through unconditional love. Feel the love you have for the person and begin to talk to them, they’re there listening. If you would like a sign, ask for a loving one that you'll understand easily. It might take five minutes, a day, a week or even a month for you to notice it. Trust it will happen and it will. Show your gratitude by simply saying, "thank you." I ask my deceased ex-husband often to show me signs he's taking care of our sons from his vantage point and I always receive them.
