The sun, only a few hours from setting in the western sky, casted magnificent streamers of light through the maple tree branches above and on both sides of the two-track. The inside of the truck illuminated in an intense hue of yellowish orange. Eyes squinted behind dark blue sunglass lenses, I could barely see where I was going. As I crested the hill and started my descent downward, I giggled to mySelf. Only days ago I felt like the cat in the photo walking past a row of 10-15 German shepherds with the phrase underneath that read, "As I walk through the Valley Of Death, I fear no evil..." Although my version was worded a little differently, it still held the same value. "As I walk through the Valley of Doubt, I fear no failure. I shall succeed by continuing this journey placing one foot in front of the other (even if I have to strangle my ego)."
Courage and Naysayer have become closer friends as September 13th approaches. Listening to the nurturing voice that comes from the internal divine being within versus the ego was much easier this time than in other situations. I spent time with both Courage and Naysaer, and wrapped my arms around Shadow in a loving hug and whispered in her ear, "I love you. I forgive you." I can still feel my breath in my ear.
I have no idea where this path will lead. I am simply trusting. There are daily reminders everywhere in humming neon signs with all sorts of encouraging words to dream big. I continue to ask, "What are the infinite possibilities?" Excitement barely describes the brewing energy percolating from deep within.
