The sweet pea vines have begun to dwindle. Tomatoes are ripening on the stem and cucumber plants continue to spread at an amazing rate. Only a few red raspberries remain on the stalk untouched by deer and human hands.
Dedicated to the tasks of hauling water, pulling weeds, cultivating the soil and removing tent worms from broccoli leaves, I am blessed with the abundance of fresh, nutritional food. Vegetables and fruit I will enjoy long after the harvest. I am grateful.
